Together we talk about our experiences of overcoming adversity such as childhood trauma, abuse and unhealthy relationships to share insights and tools to help us evolve. We explore ways to go on a path of healing and how we can become our most powerful selves; through emotional honesty and vulnerability, through shining through our shame and redefining what it means to have power.Brought to you by Dominy Roe - @lovedominy.www.lovedominy.com
The Path to Power Podcast
'I wasn’t a promiscuous teenager, I was a broken child’ S1 EP8 with Angela Rawlinson
On the final episode of Season 1 of The Path To Power Podcast, Dominy talks to an old school friend, Angela, a busy mum of six. Angela has been married to her partner for 6years, together for 14years. Angela has struggled with her own mental health since she was a teenager, she has been on a journey of discovery, overcome and battled through an Eating disorder, after being diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa.
Angela has spent most of the lockdown embarking on her journey of recovery which she bravely and honestly shares on her social media platform @surviving_six_ Angela also co-runs a fitness and wellbeing page on Facebook called Fit For Purpose ONLINE which is a brilliant community of people who share their own fitness journey, take part in monthly challenges and who are committed to their own health and wellness, and help keep each other accountable.
Dominy and Angela discuss some of the challenges they have faced following their experience of childhood trauma but mostly, how powerful and profound it is to be on a journey of healing and rediscovering themselves.
